Joy Hanna Lockerby Business Leadership and Development from Jacksonville University

Joy graduated with a B.S. in Business Leadership and Development from Jacksonville University. She worked for the PGA TOUR for 17 years before going to work as an SEO Specialist at Web.com.

Worked with the Florida Fish and Wild Life Commission, Jacksonville University, Sea World, and Save-the-Manatee Club for an article published in “Folio Weekly” about the Manatee endangerment. Also working as a freelance writer, Joy has been featured in both print and internet articles. She has a diverse background in marketing, website design, public relations, journalism and social media campaigns.

Knowing the importance of helping in the community Joy has volunteered previously for Habitat for Humanity, Relay for Life, and several local schools. She has extensive experience with nonprofits, in public relations, fundraising and marketing plan development.

Additionally, Joy held the position of secretary on the board of directors for Veteran’s Project and The Museum, of War and History. She also held nominated position as Saint John’s County representative for past presidential candidate.

Additional Accomplishments include but are not limited to:
St. Johns County Co-Chair for Presidential Candidate, 2007:
Public relations with attending community events and giving speeches
Organizing local volunteers and committee meetings
Conducting onsite NPR interviews after press conferences
Marketing and PR for Museum of War and History, Inc., 2002-2003:
Appearances on Good Morning Jacksonville and interviews by The Times Union
Successfully worked with IRS to obtain 501 (C) 3 nonprofit status
Designing collateral including brochures and press packets
Performing marketing analysis, competitive research, and marketing plans
Organizing entire fundraising events including multimedia presentations
