Favorite aspect of the sanctuary: The large enclosures with the opened play areas for each pack but most of all I love the platforms and the way they are placed in trees. I know all the animals love them too because they spent so much time up there looking out over the property. I know it must give them a feeling of freedom.
Favorite wolf and why: Being one of the owners of the sanctuary I could never pick a favorite. This would be like asking a Mom out of all of her children which do you love the most. Each animal is so distinctly different from the way they look to the way they interact with me. They are all special and unique, so on that note I would say my favorite is the one that is hurting the most at the time.
Your role here: To continue to provide a permanent home to these awesome animals that have been so badly abused and do anything and everything that I can to keep them comfortable, full of food and safe from harm.
What being part of this unique mission means to you: It has truly been a blessing to be involved with the animals and to watch them heal and learn how to trust again. Also, spending time with the volunteers; it makes me realize that no matter how far the world has fallen there are still so many good people in it. We may not have a lot of material things out here at the sanctuary however, between the precious faces of the animals and the dedicated volunteers I know I have more than most.
Favorite Movie: Up Close and Personal – tomorrow is not a promise, which means you should love and appreciate each and every person that God puts in to your life because you never know how long they are going to be there.
