Favorite aspect of the sanctuary: My favorite aspect of the sanctuary is that all the enclosures are created with the wolves needs being placed first. They are kept natural, leaving as many trees in place as possible and have plenty of room for the wolves to explore their surroundings and play with each other. The platforms in each enclosure also give a great place for the animals to survey their area and their neighbors while also providing a place to escape the elements.

Favorite wolf and why: It would be hard to try and single just one animal out. They all have such different personalities and I look forward to spending time with all of them. I do find myself drawn more towards the older animals like Moses and Josh who seem to enjoy a more soft, gentile interaction and animals like Nathan and Sky who need a little extra attention due to their mischievous nature and selective taste in volunteers.

Your role here: Do the best I can to give as much love and affection to each animal as they want. I also help out with construction projects, feedings, cleaning enclosures and pools, and anything else that needs to be done.

What being part of this unique mission means to you: I hope that I am able to help make a difference in the life of at least one animal and help it regain a level of love, trust, and comfort that it had lost or had taken away. Being accepted and loved in return by these wonderful animals helps me recover what I lose during the week and I find myself not wanting to leave.

Favorite Movie: It would be a toss up between Excalibur and Jeremiah Johnson.
