Favorite aspect of the sanctuary: My favorite aspect of this sanctuary is the commitment and devotion of John and Debbie on providing the epitome of what an animal sanctuary should be. They have sacrificed and dedicated their lives to ensure the comfort and safety of the animals here.

Favorite wolf and why: It is hard to pick a favorite. They’re all amazing. You learn all their likes and quirks. They all have such different personalities. But I would say if I had to pick one, it would be Onyx. She just exudes this powerful beauty and strength.

Your role here: I assist with whatever projects or tasks that need to be done. We do a range of tasks from filling in holes, feedings, assisting in maintenance of fencing, platforms or any other structure within the sanctuary. We visit with each animal and provide reassurances that they are safe and loved by interacting with them. Whatever they need, I’m here to help with what I can.

What being part of this unique mission means to you: I want to make a difference to these animals who have come from a life neglect and/or abuse. Who are caught in the middle of what humans have created. They are not house pets nor are they wild enough to survive in the wild. We can’t change what has happened to them but we can try to ensure they have a better life. One of my favorite quotes “Saving one animal will not change the world, but for that one animal, the world will change forever”

Favorite Movie: This is a difficult question too, but when I do re-watch a movie, I tend to put on Aliens.
